DNA Reflex Theory

Theory which states that the alien embryo planted by a facehugger absorbs traits from its host, and these traits are exhibited in the full-grown alien. This was shown by the "dog alien" which ran rampant through the Fiorina 161 prison facility. The theory also states that the genetic makeup of the alien can be controlled by the hosts provided to the facehuggers. For example, if a Queen is bred from a passive animal, such as a sheep or a cow, all offspring from that Queen will be relatively passive. Prof. Ernst Kleist banked on the DNA Reflex theory in his attempts to make a "tame alien", which ultimately ended up as the Rogue.
