Theory which states that the [[alien]] [[embryo]] planted by a [[facehugger]] absorbs traits from its host, and these traits are exhibited in the full-grown [[alien]]. This was shown by the "[[dog alien]]" which ran rampant through the [[Fiorina]] 161 prison facility. The theory also states that the genetic makeup of the [[alien]] can be controlled by the hosts provided to the [[facehugger]]s. For example, if a [[Queen]] is bred from a passive animal, such as a sheep or a cow, all offspring from that [[Queen]] will be relatively passive. 
Prof. [[Ernst Kleist]] banked on the DNA Reflex theory in his attempts to make a "tame [[alien]]", which ultimately ended up as [[the Rogue]].
